Two Quad City Area Happy Joe’s Locations Have Closed Their Doors

One of the Quad Cities' favorite pizza joints is losing two locations after the stores announced their permanent closure on Facebook.

"The Eldridge Happy Joe's Pizza & Ice Cream is closed as of Monday, August 29th," the store's Facebook page wrote in a post on Monday morning. "We would like to thank everybody for their loyalty and patronage over the years."

Calls to the restaurant will be forwarded to the W. 50th Street location in Davenport - and the store will be servicing the Eldridge area for delivery.

"We have been battling staffing issues for quite some time now and these issues have led us to this very difficult decision," company representative Kristel Whitty Ersan told North Scott Press.

In June, Happy Joe's parent firm in Bettendorf made the decision to close Tony Sacco's Coal Fired Kitchen in the same building as the Eldridge Happy Joe's after only being open for 18 months.

"We want to thank the Eldridge community and all our loyal guests for their years of support and patronage," Kristel Whitty Ersan told the North Scott Press. "We hope you keep all your Happy Joe’s “Happy” memories from our Eldridge location with you always and call on them when you need to smile."

In addition to the Eldridge location, the Maquoketa location announced its closure this morning as well.
