The Union Underground
On July 18, 2000, The Union Underground released their debut album "...An Education In Rebellion" featuring the hit singles Turn Me On Mr. Deadman, Revolution Man, and Killing The Fly. The disc spent four months on the charts, and the track"Turn Me On 'Mr. Deadman'" was on the mainstream rock charts for six months.
Spineshank
Formed in 1996 in Los Angeles, Spineshank exploded onto the late 90’s Metal scene with their 1998 debut, Strictly Diesel, and quickly built a rabid underground following.
Known for their fusion of industrial metal, alternative metal, and nu-metal elements, Spineshank gained prominence in the late 1990s and early 2000s as part of the emerging wave of heavy music influenced by electronic textures and aggressive rhythms. Known for their emotionally charged compositions and intense live performances, Spineshank left a lasting impact on the metal scene, blending heavy riffs, electronic undertones, and introspective lyrics to craft a distinctive sound that has resonated with fans worldwide for over 30 years.
Their sophomore effort, 2000’s The Height of Callousness, marked a turning point into a more polished and aggressive sound, leading to critical acclaim and wider exposure, with tracks like "Synthetic" and "New Disease," quickly turning the band into a staple of the nu-metal era.
Adema
Adema just rocked the Rust Belt in February at the I-Rock 93.5 Cabin Fever show. They will be back to put on another high-energy, fun show to open the night on July 24th, along with...
Sicksense
While the rest of the night is focused on nu-metal, Sicksense is a newer band with a heavy sound born from the nu.
A debut album rarely inspires such fervent anticipation, but the thrill surrounding a full-length from Sicksense is concrete. A band who have nurtured their community from seedlings to an army of “Deli-boos” (if you know, you know), Sicksense made instant waves in the metal scene upon the release of their two EPs 'Kings Today' and 'Fools Tomorrow'.
The 25th anniversary of two nu-metal classics. The Union Underground and Spineshank with a coheadling show at The Rust Belt. Get your tickets here and win them below from your concert leader, I-Rock 93.5.
