It's pretty safe to say we're all thoroughly disgusted with the weather that the month of February has given us(damn you Punxsutawney Phil).  Good news is, this weekend is projected to be just a tad bit warmer.  By tad bit, I mean like still below freezing, but not sub-zero.  Just warm enough to finally leave the house!  Why not grab the kids and zoom on down to Northpark Mall for Quad Con, a comic and toy show?

Saturday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m.-6 p.m., Northpark will be buzzing with over 50 vendors and artists ranging from comics, to toys and games.  There will even be a cosplay parade on Saturday at 3pm.  A random cosplayer will win a $50 gift certificate for any vendor at the show! This Davenport event is free to the public.  Masks are required for the event, and social distancing guidelines will be followed.  Vendors will also have hand sanitizer available.

Quad Con is also raising money for Helping Hannah's Heart Foundation.  This local organization was started to help families with children diagnosed with congenital heart defects.  They will be having a live auction on Saturday before the parade.

So whether you're into comics, video games, or vintage toys, Quad Con is going to have something for everyone, young or old.  You might even find a Marvel Comics #1, or a vintage Atari console.  Ok, Ok, the Marvel Comics might be a stretch, but at least you have an excuse to wear your underwear on the outside of your clothes, right?
