The I-Host 93.5 Playlist For October 25th

Meet this weeks I-Host 93.5 winner.  Jacob Hendrix.  He's the one with hat.  His buddy is Zach who happens to be the lead singer of their band "The Infestation".

Question one – Who are you?

My name is Jacob Hendrix. I have a passion for music and playing my guitar. My favorite thing to do is jamming music or playing my guitar for my wife and kids and playing shows with my band. I am a metal head at heart, but also enjoy a variety of other music.

Question two - Why do you love hard rock?

I have always found a connection with rock. Growing up my parents always had all sorts of rock on. Van Halen, Metallica, rage against the machine, the offspring, Limp Bizkit, system and so much more. As a musician I'm a sucker for some good guitar riffs and face melting solos. Hard Rock has just always found a way to take me to my happy place mentally. Its like a high. I feel like unlike other genres of music, there is a rock n roll song everyone can connect with out there.

Question three – Who is your favorite band/artist?

This is always a hard question. Sometimes it honestly depends on what's going on with life at the time. Lately I have been jamming alot of Stevie Ray Vaughn and black berry smoke. Which is far off the path from any of my selections lol. But a typical go to for me is Parkway Drive, The Devil Wears Prada or Slipknot.

Question four – What is the best concert you’ve ever seen?

The best concert I have ever seen was The All American tour with Bring Me the Horizon and Of Mice And Men with my sister. We both still rave about it. Their stage presence and light shows were phenomenal. Ollie was very interactive with the crowd and there was confetti cannons and both bands just absolutely killed it. That will always be one of my best memories of my life.
