Scott County Has Reported Its First COVID-19 Case
A person in Scott County has tested positive for the novel Coronavirus.
On Wednesday (March 18th), the Quad-City Times reported that there has been a confirmed case of COVID-19 in Scott County according to a press release from UnityPoint Health.
The Iowa Department of Public Health and has been notified of the positive test announced today (March 18th).
This will make the 30th case reported in Iowa. Adair, Harrison, Polk, Carroll, Pottawattamie, Black Hawk and Scott County all have 1 confirmed case per county.
Allamakee has 2 confirmed cases, Dallas with 3, and Johnson with 18, bringing the total to 30 cases in the state.
Illinois Department of Public Health says there are currently has 160 confirmed cases in the state and recently, one person in Illinois has died from COVID-19 according to Local 4 News. 1 person in Whiteside County, Illinois has tested positive for COVID-19.
The name, age and gender of the person has in Scott County not been announced at this time.
