On April 9th, Monster Jam appeared at Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines Iowa. The mechanical beasts competed against each other in the ultimate monster truck race and in the end, there was one overall winner. Racking up the best ratings in each event and winning the overall event was Iowa Native Myranda Cozad.

Last Saturday evening, the 31-year-old monster truck driver was thrilled to receive her first Overall Event Championship of the season. It was even more special that she received it in her home state of Iowa.

Myranda Cozad from Davenport, Iowa started competing in Monster Jam in 2016. Before Cozad's career started, she had met Debra Madusa, the first female driver to win the Monster Jam World Finals in 2004 and again in 2005, who had helped her fulfill her racing dream. "I met Madusa at a show and I expressed to her how driving a Monster Jam truck was a dream of mine. She took me under her wing and the rest was history. Madusa was a huge inspiration from day one for me. She’s a great advocate for women and has paved the way for us here in Monster Jam. She’s an all-around great person and role model." Cozad said.

Myranda Cozad drives the Scooby-Doo monster truck that was chosen for her by Monster Jam because of her bubbly personality. Below is a video of Myranda from 2018 talking about her Monster Jam experience.

Keep Looking at Photos of Tool at The TaxSlayer Center

It was an amazing night of sound and visuals at Tool at the TaxSlayer Center in Moline. Everyone in the building wanted to take pictures during the show, but with the Tool no photo rule, only the final song was really captured. However, with a photo pass, we were able to get more pics for you to remember the night. Of course you know how dark it was, and that they had a curtain up during the photo time but our photographer still captured some amazing pictures from Tool.
