Pumpkin patches are one of the most popular fall traditions, and it’s easy to see why. The autumn air and colorful leaves are perfect photo opportunities, and there’s no shortage of fun activities to do with your family – from carving pumpkins to visiting with local farmers to taking hayrides and enjoying festive fall treats, there’s something for everyone at pumpkin patches. If you’re looking for an easy way to welcome fall, consider heading out to your local pumpkin patch this weekend!

Unfortunately one popular option will be shutting down. Papa's Pumpkin Patch in Bellevue, Iowa will no longer be open.

We have been asked multiple times over the last few weeks as to whether or not we will be open this year. A tough decision has been made, Papa’s Pumpkin Patch is retiring! Papa, Grama and family would like to thank each and everyone one of you that made trip to our family farm each year! What started out as a small thought turned into a wonderful tradition for many, including our family! We appreciate all of the love, support, smiles and fun you have given us over the last 15 years!

THANK YOU. Papa and Gramma

My family loved making the drive to Papa's.  The scenery alone was enough to make a return trip...but it was obvious when you arrived at the pumpkin patch that this was a family that cared about the community.

The bounce houses, slides, hay rack rides, petting zoo, and games were all free!  They just asked for a donation or perhaps buy your self some baked goods or a hotdog.

It's unfortunate that this gem will no longer be open, but we thank them for the opportunity to make some family memories on a nice Fall day.
