New Hard Rock Radio Station Comes to the Quad Cities
Metal heads, crank up your stereo and get ready to head bang because the QC has a new hard rock radio station!
I-Rock 93.5 came on the QC the airwaves today and will play hard rock from bands like Godsmack, Slipknot, Tool, Korn, Five Finger Death Punch, and more. With a mix of 90's classics from Nirvana and Alice In Chains to new bands like Volbeat and Ghost, this station may make you start violently air-drumming on your steering wheel.
Ryan McCredden, the station's Operations Manager, says:
"The Midwest knows how to rock. I'm thrilled that we are going to be able to bring this new hard rock station to the Quad Cities. Finally rockers will be able to listen to all their favorite bands and songs from a local station. We're going to energize the rock fans of the Quad Cities with music they will only be able to get on I-Rock 93.5, irock935.com, and the I-Rock 93.5 app."
I-Rock 93.5 is part of the Townsquare Media Quad Cities group of stations that include 97X (home of Dwyer and Michaels), B100, KIIK 104.9, and the former ESPN 93.5. The sports programs that were previously heard on the 93.5 signal, including the only local sports show in the Quad Cities "Don't Hassle We're Local", will still be available on the AM airwaves at 1170 AM.
I-Rock 93.5 will be playing commercial free through September, so tune in and start rocking out!
