Motown Mile is What’s Tappening
I talked to Charlie Cole about new beer being released this week and the Motown Mile happening Saturday. The best beer fest in the area is happening THIS SATURDAY 8/14 in Downtown Moline - The MoTown Craft Beer Festival will let you taste some great brews from over 40 known brands and over 100 beers - BrewedTV VIP Hour 4-5PM and GA entry at 5-8PM with food trucks, live music and of course some amazing craft brews. Get your tickets now to save some money and we'll see you there!
Proceeds from the MoTown USATF Certified Road Race and Craft Beer Festival are donated to raise funds to a few great local charities, The Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities, Mississippi Bend Trykes, The Chris VanSpeybroeck Memorial Scholarship, and the Peaceful Palate.
Reminder - Today is the last day to Send CBW Over the Edge is a series of guest bartending events on The Mezz with the goal of raising money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley. For every new fundraising milestone hit a CBW server will rappel off of the downtown Davenport historical Blackhawk Hotel at BBBS’s annual “Over the Edge” event on Saturday, August 21st.
Each guest bartending event will feature different guests from the CBW culture, as well as live music. The current lineup is as follows:
Monday, August 9th, 6-8pm - Guest Beertenders from Nerdspeak Brewing
If you are unable to attend the guest bartending events but still wish to contribute, you can donate to the CBW Over the Edge webpage
Over the Edge will take place Saturday, August 21st at the Hotel Blackhawk in downtown Davenport.

Midwest Ale Works in East Moline, IL You can't miss the big stainless tanks and open taproom of MAW that is tucked into the brick walls of the Rust Belt. You'll also find a lineup of house beers on the wall behind their large bar offering everything from dark to light. Whether you grab a bar seat or a chair in the taproom or dog friendly patio, get over to East Moline and grab a flight or a few MAW pints.
