Did Anyone Ever Buy That Creepy Mannequin House?
Just over a year, ago a very strange home was put up for sale. It grabbed national attention due to the strange and creepy mannequins. Did the strategy of grabbing people's attention with creepy things work for this house?
The duplex was listed at $650,000. It is located in California. It's a 5 bedroom 3 bath unit. The description of the property reads,
With a little love, this duplex has great income property potential. Centrally located and close to casinos, beaches, shopping, skiing and the only cinema in town.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity! Property to be sold as-is''.
In 2021 we saw that in what appeared to be an effort to add some life to the shots of the property, someone decided to add mannequins. Needless to say, it is a bit uncomfortable, but the property did end up selling. There is a catch however.
What It Sold For
As stated before The duplex was listed at $650,000. Sadly for those selling the property, the duplex sold for $100,000 less than it was listed for. It appears that the property last sold for $550,000 on June 28th, 2021. It looks like the photos did grab people's attention, but didn't raise their value.
More Infomation On The House
The House is 2,116 square feet and is 5 bedrooms, and 3 bathrooms. It was built in 1962. It's a Multi Family and appears to be as follows,
Unit 1: Bedrooms 1-3 Full Baths 1-2
Unit 2: Bedrooms 2 Full Baths 2
They even watch over you as you sleep...
Now the real question is: Does the house come with the mannequins, or should I bring my own?
