I-Rock 93.5 Presents Machines Vs. Monsters with Static-X and Gwar
I-Rock 93.5 presents the Machines vs. Monsters tour with Static-X, Gwar, Dope, and A Killer's Confession. As you can see on the poster below, the show will be on Saturday, May 31 at the Capitol Theatre in Davenport, Iowa.
Tickets are on sale Friday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m. right here. You can also win them by listening to your concert leader and by signing up below!
Static-X
There are not many bands that can replace their lead singer. Especially a charismatic lead man like Wayne Static. But Static-X has found the man to continue what they built and to create something new.
While the band initially never said that the new lead singer "Xer0" is Edsel Dope it was later confirmed when the band said that they "felt Xer0 should be a separate entity from Dope".
Now with new music the legacy of Static-X continues.
Gwar
The last time Gwar was at Capitol Theatre it was cold. And a lot of you were really cold by the end of the night when you were soaking wet.
Make no mistake, if you stand in the front, you will get wet. There is definitely a splash zone for Gwar. But, if you hang in the back you can watch the spectacle that is the mighty Gwar.
Dope
We just talked about Dope. See above. Funny how Dope and Static-X always tour together. Might as well when it's the same lead singer. But there is always a band between Dope and Static-X to give Edsel a bit of a break.
A Killer's Confession
We recently saw A Killer's Confession at The Rust Belt when they opened for Drowning Pool. The band is led by former Mushroomhead frontman Waylon Reavis. They have a very new nu-metal sound and will be a perfect way to get the night started.
