It was just over a year ago that we all got together for really the first I-Rock 93.5 concert.  It was at the Rust Belt with Buckcherry, Adelitas Way and Alborn.  It was supposed to be the start of a 2020 that was going to kick so much ass with show after show after show.

Then, well you know.  The large shows will come back.  In the next 1-2 months we will be announcing these spring and summer shows.  It's not an issue of finding bands that want to play.  It's getting the regulations lifted and finding a time for them to play.  Seriously, the calendar is over full.  They all want to come and rock the Quad Cities.  I think word is out and they know how much you kick ass.

Until then, I'll keep doing things on the air to make us remember and relive those concerts.  Today (2/2) I played sets of songs to relive our favorite concerts.  That was fun.  I think I'll do that weekly as it's great to remember those good times and great shows.  But we also want...no...we need, live music in our lives.  Well let's get some this weekend.

Saturday, Hook's Pub and Grill in Clinton.  Now I'll be there from 6-8pm playing non-live music but we'll still have fun listening to music and having some drinks.  Plus, I'll have free stuff which is always a plus.

Then once I'm done "warming up the crowd" (insert joke about the cold weather and the need to warm up) then the live music will rock Hook's.  Drama Major and High Five Sinners will play deep into the chilly night to make us all feel alive and warm.

Want to be more familiar with both bands, start with Drama Major.  Check out the Facebook page here.  And here is one from them to listen to from their YouTube page.

Next up is High Five Sinners.  Check out these fellas on Facebook and a sample of their music below.

So here we go.  Live, local music.  It will be cold, but suck it up buttercup.  It will be a good time.  See you there.  Oh, one more Facebook link, the link to our event page so you can tell me you are going.  Need to be sure I bring enough of that free stuff...you damn mooch.
