Jumanji To Kick Off Davenport’s Movies On The Mississippi 2022 Season
One of the Quad-City resident's favorite events of the summer is returning to Davenport's riverfront this Friday. Movies on the Mississippi is back at LeClaire Park in Davenport this Friday and the movie that will be playing has been announced.
The City of Davenport announced on Tuesday the movie that will be playing this Friday, May 20th for the first Movies on the Mississippi of the 2022 season. This Friday, people will be able to watch the 1995 original version of Jumanji starring the late Robin Willams.
The fun will begin at LeClaire Park (400 Beiderbecke Dr) in downtown Davenport this Friday at 6 p.m. with games and activities. Food vendors will also be on hand serving up a variety of food and beverages.
The playing of Jumanji will begin around dusk on Friday and people will be able to enjoy the movie with the backdrop of the Mississippi River behind the movie. The other great part of Movies on the Mississippi is that admission is free.
Below is the lineup for the rest of the Movies on the Mississippi at LeClaire Park in downtown Davenport for the rest of the summer and into the fall:
- June 10 - The Sandlot
- July 8 - Frozen
- September 30 - CARS
- October 7 - Hocus Pocus
We are hoping that weather-wise, Friday will be a great night to kick off the 2022 season of Movies on the Mississippi. According to the National Weather Service of the Quad Cities, there is a 40% chance of showers throughout the day on Friday but the high is expected to be 80°.
