Love scary movies? Think you can communicate with the other side? Scared of paranormal stuff anyway but love a challenge? You can join an overnight ghost search at a haunted spot in Rock Island.

The Riverside Iowa Paranormal (RIP) team will have an overnight investigation at the old Rock Island YMCA (Dan Vinar Furniture). If you join the investigation team, you will search through the dark areas of one of the most haunted spots in Rock Island, according to a release.

The hunt will be on March 19th from 8:00 p.m.-2:00 a.m.

The building has had a colorful past that have made it a paranormal hot spot. It was once used as a brothel, a speakeasy, and even had ties to the mob. It was the site of both a fire and a homicide and apparently, there are still many unanswered questions surrounding its history. Maybe some communication with those who never left could clarify some of that. The YMCA burned to the ground and was rebuilt in 1911. Sound haunted yet?

General admission to the search is $40 and will let you investigate the building, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m. VIP admission is $75 and will let you get in earlier at 6:00 p.m. and you can tour the YMCA with the owner of the building and the Riverside Iowa Paranormal team. And since it is overnight, you'll want to bring your sleeping bag. If you think you can sleep.

Here's the link to get tickets for the event. If you dare.
