You Can Be Killin Cancer With Music And Food In Sterling Illinois
One in eight women will develop breast cancer in their life. Friends of one of those affected are stepping up to support her in this time of need.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and on Saturday (October 14) you can support her as well as they will be "Killin Cancer" with a day of live music.
Benefit For Kasey MaGill
Kasey Magill was diagnosed in February 2023 with Stage 3 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma in her left breast. It spread to her lymph nodes and her spine. She started chemotherapy in March with her last round of chemo in July; a Double Mastectomy will follow as well as additional surgeries to remove her ovaries.
The community will get together on Saturday (Oct 14) from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. at the Moose Lodge in Sterling, Illinois for a benefit. There will be a 50/50 raffle, bake sale, auctions, and a raffle to raise money with all proceeds going to the MaGill family.
