Between 1969 and 2024, there have been 1,202 alleged sightings of Unidentified Flying Objects.

Most Iowa sightings occur on Saturdays, in the month of July, and between 8:00 PM and 11:59 PM.

Des Moines is the number one city for UFO sightings in the Hawkeye State with 107 UFO reported sightings between 1969 and 2024, according to UFO Sightings USA.

Cedar Rapids follows closely behind with 83 UFO reports over the same time span.
