Illinois Shoppers: General Mills Recalls 736K Pillsbury Rolls

General Mills has recalled nearly 736,000 frozen Pillsbury bread rolls because they may contain glass, according to a recall notice by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

The recall includes two frozen dough products intended primarily for food service businesses.  Affected products include 3,080 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls "Hard Roll Dough," totally 554,400 rolls, and 1,260 cases of Pillsbury Bread Rolls "Kaiser Roll Dough," totaling 181,440 rolls.  Together, the recall covers 735,840.

The FDA said the products may contain "potential foreign material (glass)," which could pose a risk of injury if consumed.

The recalled Hard Roll Dough is identified by:

• H-1154-2026
• "Better if Used By" date of Oct. 12, 2026.
• Each case contains 180 rolls weighing 2.25 ounces each.

The Kaiser Roll Dough info:

• H-1155-2026
• "Better if Used By" date of Oct. 13, 2026
• Contains 144 rolls weighing 2.5 ounces each per case

General Mills initiated the recall on June 19th across many states.

According to General Mills, the products are designed for commercial kitchens and food service operations, where they are thawed, proofed, and baked before serving.  These products are not typically sold directly to individual consumers in grocery stores, luckily.
