Neurology and cardiology hold a special significance for the Blues families as two of the senior players are personally affected:

  • One senior player had a life-threatening congenital heart condition requiring open heart surgery when he was only 1 month old.
  • Another senior player has been battling epilepsy since being diagnosed in the 2nd grade.

Jersey Auction, Bake Sale, and More

In a heartwarming tribute to these brave young individuals and countless others like them, the Blues players will wear specially designed jerseys and hockey socks for the night. The jerseys, in shades of red and purple, symbolize support for children battling congenital cardiac abnormalities and pediatric epilepsy, respectively.

Attendees will not only witness an exhilarating hockey showdown but will also have the opportunity to contribute to a life-changing cause through various fundraising activities. These include the auction of two special edition jerseys, along with sales of t-shirts, baked goods, raffle items, and a silent auction featuring a range of goods and services.

Free Entry

The highlight of the event remains its free entry, making it accessible to all who wish to enjoy a great game of hockey and support a critical cause. It's a testament to the community's spirit and the enduring hope that together, significant strides can be made in the fight against challenging pediatric diseases.

The Quad City Blues Hockey Club, part of the Quad City Hockey Association (QCHA), is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization formed to promote the sport of hockey for boys and girls of all ages in the Iowa and Illinois Quad City area.
