Quad Cities Favorite Live Music Venues That Aren’t Venues Anymore
It's weird when decades later, you go past your childhood home and the siding is different, the tree in the front yard with the swing is gone, sometimes it's not even a house anymore - just an empty lot.
It's the same feeling you get when you see what your old stomping grounds have become. A bar where you once were headbanging to the best Def Leppard covers is now a barber shop. Or the place you once took the stage to tens of screaming fans is now where chiropractors are finishing up their degrees.
We've compiled some of the places we all once hung out, but must've stopped hanging at, because they're something else (or nothing else) now.
Quad Cities Live Music Venues That Aren't Live Music Venues Anymore
Nostalgia Alert!.
We've compiled a quick list (by no means comprehensive) of venues in the Quad Cities that are no longer music venues but to us will ALWAYS hold a special place were we saw some great shows and made some incredible memories.
To many of us the live music scene wasn't just a concert here & there. It was an every weekend affair. And it didn't matter if it was a touring band or your buddy's band. We were going to be there with a beer in hand and scream along with guitars that were way too loud in a room that was improperly treated acoustically and make some bad decisions.
