On Saturday, March 25th, #hockeytownqc is heading to the Vibrant Arena for an evening full of fun and excitement.

Meet & Greet

The Quad City Storm has special events planned, including a pregame Meet & Greet where you can meet your hockey heroes and get autographs. The alumni include:

  • Mark McFarlane
  • Kerry Toporowski
  • Steve Gibson
  • Shane Bennett
  • Cody Walsh
  • Marcus Ortiz

Former Storm player, Marcus Ortiz, is beyond excited to come back and visit.

I feel like I’m coming home! It’s been by far the best place I’ve ever played, I feel as if a part of me will forever be here. I only wish I could’ve started my career here. From ownership, to the staff, to the fans, to the arena custodians and employees, everyone is so amazing and has created a family atmosphere here. The best hockey memories of my life were made in this arena. The most fun I’ve ever had playing a game happened in this arena! I’m excited for Shane and excited to get my hands on his bobble head for myself. Shane is an incredible player, teammate, and friend and he deserves every ounce of this and more! Cheers to you my brother!

Colonial Cup

During the pregame festivities, be sure to get a picture taken with the Colonial Cup. The Colonial Cup (UHL Championship trophy won by the Mallards [it is the first time the trophy has returned to the Quad Cities since the Mallard’s last championship])

 Bobble Head Giveaway

As if this wasn’t enough excitement for the night, a Shane Bennett bobblehead will be given away to the first 1,000 fans through the gates. Bennett is the Storm’s all-time leading scorer and will be in the lineup for this weekend’s games.

 Jersey Auction

On top of all the fun events, the Storm will be holding a postgame jersey auction.
"We'll be wearing some #HockeytownQC classics this Saturday night as we celebrate the history of hockey in the Quad Cities! There will be replicas available in the team store tomorrow at 11 AM" -QC Storm

Here is a better look at the jersey. It incorporates the 3 hockey teams that have represented the Quad Cities over the years, including the colors of the QC Mallards, the shoulder logo of the QC Flames, and the chest logo of the current QC Storm team.
