Here Are Free Yard Waste Weeks In The City of Davenport
It's the time of year when we love the way everything looks, but deep down most of us are dreading having to clean up the lawn.
Yard Waste Tags Can Get Costly
Leaves are falling, and so is our determination to rake them up. The City of Davenport knows a lot of us will have 30+ bags on our curb, and they want to make sure we're able to get those out of there without breaking the bank.
Sure, they're only $1.60 a sticker, but if you have 3-4 good-sized trees, you're looking at the cost of cleanup hitting pretty high - like $30-40 worth of stickers just to get the leaves out of your yard.
The City of Davenport Wants To Help Out
Bagged yard waste that has been collected in Kraft ply bags (those brown paper bags) will be able to be picked up for free during No Sticker Yard Waste Weeks. No sticker is necessary.
Bags can also be dropped off at the Compost Facility off of Railroad Avenue in Davenport. Just present your driver license and explain how many bags you're leaving behind.
When Is This Happening?
The City of Davenport's "No Sticker Yard Waste Weeks" take place from Monday, October 24th through Friday, December 2nd. That gives you the whole month of November to procrastinate taking care of the yard.
