"What happened to the Moline location? One week they were about to start serving food then the next week they were closed…gone….see ya!" -Facebook Comment
Bar Closing
Galena Brewing Company, had two locations, one in Galena IL, and the other in Moline IL, however, the Moline location has officially been closed down.
Galena Brewing Compay Ale House is (or was) located at 1534 River Drive in Moline. A beautiful brick building in a perfect spot along the Mississippi River.
If you were to go peek in the windows of the bar now, you would see nothing but empty floors and a closed sign posted on the front door.
Galena Brewing Company opened its Moline location back in May 2019, serving its award-winning handcrafted beer to citizens of the Quad Cities.
Unfortunately, on Wednesday afternoon it was confirmed that Galena Brewing Company in Moline has been sold.
What The Owner Says
One of the new co-owners of Galena Brewing Company, Ashley Gendreau, said that the Moline location was closed down due to overhead costs and the new owner's desire to focus on the Galena location.
On The Brightside
The good news is, the company is not shutting down completely. Fans of GCB's hand-crafted beer can still enjoy it in the town of Galena.
The up-and-running brewery/restaurant is located at 227 North Main Street
