As Veterans Day approaches, the City of Davenport takes a moment to honor and express deep gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the military.

City of Davenport Honors Veterans with Annual Parade and Events Across the Quad Cities

 

"The City of Davenport would like to express our appreciation to all our veterans for their honorable service to our country. On Veterans Day, we pause to remember the service and sacrifices made by our brave men and women and their families," said Mayor Mike Matson.

The Veterans Day Parade Route

In celebration of Veterans Day, the city invites residents and visitors alike to join the annual Davenport Veterans Day Parade on November 11. The parade will begin at 10 a.m. at West 4th Street and Western Avenue, heading south to West 2nd Street before turning east to Main Street, and then back north to West 4th Street. The route concludes at the Scott County Courthouse on Western Avenue. Participants and spectators are encouraged to come early, as temporary street closures will affect travel through downtown Davenport.
