Popular Illinois Zoo Is Taking Registrations For Fun Summer Camp
With the summer-like temperatures we've been having, it's hard not to think about summer already. You know who else is thinking about summer? Our friends at our favorite zoo on the Illinois side.
If you have a child and are looking to give them things to do this summer, there are plenty of camps throughout the Quad Cities offering fun and educational experiences. The Niabi Zoo in Coal Valley, Ill. is one of those places and they are taking registrations now.
These camps are fun, informative, interactive learning experiences that include hands-on activities, special zoo tours, and up-close animal encounters.
Niabi Zoo Summer Camps Information
Officials at the Niabi Zoo say that each Zoo Camp curriculum is designed to be age appropriate to meet the attention, interests, and developmental needs of each age range. Because of that reason, it is important that the age guidelines are followed for your kiddo.
Make note that there are duplicate sessions. For each age range, there are multiple opportunities to attend Zoo Camp. For ages 4-5 years and 6-7 years, the morning session is the same as the afternoon session.
Sessions in June are the same as the sessions in July and August. Niabi Zoo officials ask that you only register your child for one session.
There are different themes for each age group which you can see below:
- 4-5 Years Old
- Theme: Movement of Life
- 6-7 Years Old
- Theme: Abstract Adaptations
- 8-9 Years Old
- Theme: Dive into Science
- 10-13 Years Old
- Theme: Creative Conservationist
