Popular Dr. Seuss Movie Playing For Free At Park In Davenport
We're already to the second movie of the season for a free summer movie series in Davenport. The Davenport Parks and Recreation Department is hosting its second Movies in the Park event at a different park in the City.
This Friday night, you can bring the whole family to one of Davenport's beautiful parks to enjoy a popular kid's movie based on a Dr. Seuss book during Movies in the Park.
Movies In The Park Continues In Davenport
Back in May, the Davenport Parks and Recreation Department announced that this year they will be hosting many Movies in the Park events due to popular demand.
Last year, they did Movies on the Mississippi and the films were primarily held at LeClaire Park. This year, movies will be shown at different parks throughout the city.
All of the Movies in the Park events are free to attend and will take place on a Friday with the fun beginning at 6 p.m. with food sales and free activities. No registration is required to attend these events.
Davenport Parks and Recreation officials say in the event of rain, the event will be canceled. Cancellations will be made by 3:00 p.m., the day of the movie.
The second of the four scheduled Movies in the Park is slated for Friday, June 23rd at the Annie Wittenmyer Complex. The featured film this Friday night will be the 2012 animated film based on the book from Dr. Seuss, The Lorax.
Grab your lawn chairs, blankets, and a picnic to enjoy these family-friendly evenings under the stars in Davenport. Below are the Movies in the Park schedule and locations for the rest of the summer:
- 6/23 - The Lorax - Annie Wittenmyer Complex
