Nothing says American football like executing Pop-Tarts via toaster on TV.

I always love college football season and binging games in the bowl season. One of my favorites to watch this last season was the Pop-Tarts Bowl. The end lines around the field had sprinkles on them. The giant Pop-Tarts mascot joked with the referees and even skydove.

And let's not forget when they lowered one into a toaster to become an actual Pop-Tart, big enough for the winning Iowa State team to split.

Now, the "surviving" mascots will accompany Iowa State and Kansas State to the Aer Lingus College Football Classic on August 23rd in Ireland.

In case you're wondering, the "Wild Berry" Pop-Tart mascot and the "Hot Fudge Sundae" ones are the surviving ones. "Frosted Cinnamon Roll" and "Frosted Strawberry" are among the toasted.

Leslie Serro, VP of Marketing, Sweet Snacking, told FOX Sports:

The Pop-Tarts Edible Mascots work tirelessly to fulfill their dreams of being eaten, so we agreed they deserved a vacation to watch the previous Pop-Tarts Bowl winners play in Ireland...We know Frosted Cinnamon Roll and Frosted Strawberry — our two previously sacrificed mascots — would be proud.

This is the fourth consecutive year that the American college football season is opening in Ireland.

Remember, this game isn't the actual Pop-Tarts Bowl. That will be December 27th. With whatever mascot is still untoasted.

Last year, Iowa State beat Kansas State in Ames in the regular season 29-21.

Meanwhile, as for the Ireland game, kickoff will be at 11:00 a.m. CT and according to Iowa State Athletics, will be on ESPN.
