Have A Blast This Weekend At A Blue Grass Days
There is definitely not a shortage of things to do in the Quad Cities this weekend. But something about partying up with local bands and the residents of a small Quad Cities town just sounds like an amazing time.
You don't even need to leave Scott County! This weekend is Blue Grass Days and the fun starts this Friday night. Food trucks, live music, a parade, a race, and more is all in store for this weekend. Plus, it's fun for the entire family.
If you're in need of something fun to do, especially outside during a great weather weekend like we're about to have, head west on Highway 61 to Blue Grass for their community's festival.
Blue Grass Days Never Disappoints
Small-town Iowa and the incredible community it builds with its residents is exactly what you'll find this weekend at Blue Grass Days. This two-day festival celebrates Blue Grass and the residents there definitely know how to do that.
Blue Grass Days is Friday, June 7th, and Saturday, June 8th this year. The festival kicks off at 5 p.m. at the Pavillion Pub. At the same time, food vendors open up and so does the Kids Fun Zone.
Tonight at 6 p.m. is the Kids 1 mile Fun Run with the 5k beginning at 7 p.m. Playing from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. is one of our favorite local artists, Monica Austin.
Saturday has a ton of stuff going on with the Rock The Block parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. The Dani Lynn Howe band takes the stage at 2 p.m. with Crooked Cactus to follow at 7 p.m.
There's a bags tournament, bingo, kids' water challenge, silent auction, a $5,000 raffle, a rodeo, and more! Fireworks will wrap up Blue Grass Days around dusk.
It's going to be a really fun weekend in Blue Grass! Make sure you leave room on Sunday to cure that small-town hangover. Find more details here!
