It may still be August, but many of you are no doubt already dreaming of a white Christmas. Snow on the ground, gathering with family and friends, and of course, watching our favorite holiday specials and movies. If you look at any respectable list of America's favorite holiday films, you'll always find 'A Christmas Story' at or near the top of the list!

The film was released in 1983 but has grown much more popular in the past decade thanks to a 24-hour marathon on cable that stretches from Christmas Eve all the way through Christmas Day. Who can look away? From Ralphie dreaming of that Red Rider BB gun, to the old man cussing up a storm battling the furnace in the basement, to the dogs ruining Christmas dinner! And we didn't even mention the leg lamp!

Fans of the classic Christmas movie will be excited to hear that Ralphie himself, actor Peter Billingsley, will be making a very special stop in Cedar Rapids this holiday season!

An Evening with Peter Billingsley will show at the Paramount Theater in Cedar Rapids on Saturday, November 30th. The event will include a showing of the beloved holiday film plus a moderated question and answer session with Peter Billingsley. He'll share stories from the set and share rare behind the scene photos and more from the 1983 film. Each event will also serve as a fundraiser for Toys for Tots.
