Illinois Vibrators Are Now More Expensive Because Of President Trump
Things keep getting harder. Everywhere you look, you just see things going up. Times are shaky. Ok, you get it.
From eggs to vibrators, Americans have been paying more recently. You probably noticed the eggs, but maybe you didn't notice the vibrators...yet. But here it comes.
The Price Of Everything Is Rising
This is the part where I could explain about tariffs and the latest in the trade war and stock markets and millionaires and billionaires, but let's be real, you are just here to see why vibrators are going up. So let's get to it.
Dame Is Now Charging A Trump Tariff Surcharge
While the tariffs have not kicked in yet, the website Dame.com isn't waiting for prices on goods shipped to America to rise. Dame is charging a "Trump Tariff Surcharge".
"Yes, that’s a 'Trump Tariff Surcharge' in your cart," Dame said on Instagram. "We’re sorry, really. But a 54% tariff on goods made in China is hitting us hard. So we’ve made the tough call to adjust prices to be able to keep bringing you the quality, body-safe products you love."
"We’re adding $5 for now, which doesn’t cover the full cost as we hate to put the brunt of this on you, while we figure out what to do next."
Since this post from Dame on Instagram, the trade war with China has escalated, and President Trump is now threatening China with a 145% tariff rate.
If you are looking to avoid the tariff surcharge, buy an American-made vibrator.

CNBC says other companies are already raising prices as well. Hyer Goods announced its Italian-made products would cost 20% more starting April 15. “Raising prices is never something we want to do, but with these new tariffs, it has become unavoidable,” a statement said.
