Illinois To Close All Inside Dining At Restaurants For 2 Weeks
At the close of business on Monday, March 16, the only way to get food from a restaurant in Illinois will be drive through or take out.
Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker announced that all restaurants and bars will close for inside dining from March 17-March 30.
This is the same window of time that schools will be shut down in Illinois.
Gov. Pritzker said in a press conference, "We are working with restaurant owners and food delivery services across the state to see if restaurants can safely keep their kitchens open so the restaurants can keep the food delivery to people at their homes. Additionally, we are allowing drive-through and curbside pick-up for restaurants to serve the public through this period”
