Illinois' 17th District U.S. Representative Cheri Bustos has been confirmed safe during the protests that took place today on the Capitol.
On Wednesday, protestors that are largely President Trump supporters stormed the Capitol Building during a joint congressional meeting to count and solidify the electoral college votes from the November election.
Illinois' 17th District Representative, Cheri Bustos, who represents majority of the Illinois side of the Quad Cities has been confirmed safe during the protests at the Capitol.
Both Illinois senators Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth have also been confirmed safe.
All of Iowa's congressional leaders have also been confirmed safe.
