The AV Club just posted 2021’s best new holiday music to add to your playlist (which you can find below)

I do like this idea and appreciate them letting me know because I have been curating my own playlist of Christmas favorites in a Spotify playlist called "'Bored of Christmas Music' Christmas Playlist".

Sure, I enjoy the sounds of Christmas.  Mariah Carey has it's place.  But after a few weeks of the same songs I've heard for 44 years it's time to mix it up a bit.

Here are the top 10 songs you should consider adding to your Christmas playlist if you're sick of Christmas songs:

1. "Christmas Card from a Hooker in Minneapolis", Tom Waits
2. "Merry Christmas (I don't want to fight tonight)", The Ramones
3. "Mistress for Christmas", AC/DC
4. "The Night Santa Went Crazy", Weird Al Yankovic
5. "Christmas in Prison", Scott Miller
6. "Fuck Christmas", Fear
7. "Don't Shoot Me Santa", The Killers
8. "Grandma's Christmas Shirt", The Good Year Pimps
9. "No Presents for Christmas", King Diamond
10. "What Sweet Child O Mine Is This", Wonderful World of Joey

My playlist can be found here if this is the kind of thing that you dig.

Here are some songs the AV Club recommends:

1. "Christmas Don't Be Late", Norah Jones
2. "Little Things", ABBA
3. "Christmas in New York", Jose James
4. "Christmas Caller", Beach Bunny
5. "WTF Is Christmas?", A "Solar Opposites" song featuring Darren Criss
6. "It's Christmas Mother[effers]", Logan Lynn
7. "Christmas Really Will Be Christmas", Black Pumas
8. "My Favorite Time of Year", L.A. Exes
9. "Snow Globe", Pistol Annies
10. "Christmastime and You", Chase Cohl

What The Quad Cities Did For Fun in the 90's

Many times over the years, I'll be talking with friends about years gone by and I'll say "take me back".

Every generation goes through this, I assume. Looking back at a more simple time where responsibilities haven't set in and life seems fun. Opportunities are endless.

Let's go back to the 1990's to Wacky Waters, 50 Cent Beer night and revisit Mallards Mania!
