Celebrate Halfway To Halloween With Midwest Monster Fest, Alborn, The Forty Twos and Elisium

Halloween and rock music go together like Halloween and Monsters.  This is why Midwest Monster fest is adding a music element to their "Halfway to Halloween" convention.

Friday, May 13th, and Saturday, May 14th head out to the Rock Island County Fairgrounds for celebrities, vendors, food trucks, sideshow acts, and rock.

As you can see on the poster below, Friday, May 13th the Midwest Monster Fest will be open from 4 pm-11 pm with music starting at 7:30 pm.  For the first time in over 2 years, Elisium will be taking the stage, and it will be right here in the Quad Cities.  Joining Elisium will Quad Cities own The Forty Twos and Alborn.

But of course, there is more than music at the Halfway to Halloween convention.  Horror actors already confirmed to be there include Damian Maffei- Haunt, Strangers They Pret At Night, and Wrong Turn.  Terri Partyka- Haunt.

Alborn

Formed in 2016, Northern Illinois based alternative metal band Alborn consists of Justin Taylor [guitar/lead vocals], Alex Raser [Drums/vocals], Zame Lewis [bass] and Nate Guske [guitar/vocals]. Their sound has been compared to Deftones or a heavier version of Alice in Chains.  But, make no mistake, Alborn has created something unique, hard and melodic.  The band has an arsenal of unreleased music and more touring dreams for 2022.  Like and follow the band on all socials for updates.

The Forty Twos

During one of the most difficult times our generation has ever faced, four individuals found themselves at a complete standstill. All the things that they knew were coming to an end and a season of change was setting in. Hailing from the plains of the heartland, hard work is no stranger to The Forty Twos. When the music came to fruition not only was there a new chapter in all their lives starting to unfold also a new WHY came to be. Heart-stopping drums wrapped up in screaming guitar melodies cranked up to 11 quickly became the standard at The Forty Twos rehearsals. However, the ‘why’ was discovered after some time. In a world of disconnection and mind-numbing distractions, this music will bring you together with everybody in the room while also making you face emotions old and new alike.
