The Ride the Island, Father's Day bike ride is happening on Father's Day.  June 15.  You did remember this weekend was Father's Day, right?  Well, now you do!

Participants will ride the beautiful trails of the Rock Island Arsenal while exploring its rich history by visiting 12 iconic landmarks and enjoying a fun-filled day of live music and activities for all ages.

The ride is June 15 from 8 am to 3:30 pm. Packet Pickup is Saturday, June 14, 9 am- 12 p.m. and Sunday, June 15, 7:30 am-11:30 am, at the QC Times parking lot.

The “Staging Area” is at the QC Times parking lot, 500 E. 3rd St., Davenport. Participants will take the Government Bridge to the Davenport gate to enter the island.

Anyone can register and anyone can ride.  Arsenal Island passes are NOT required for registrants during the event. Your ride-issued license and a REAL ID will admit you.

As participants explore the rich history of the Rock Island Arsenal, they can collect golden-star stickers at each of the 12 interactive stops along the route.

Don’t miss “Base Camp” at Memorial Park, where riders can play games of bags, horseshoes, croquet, mush ball, volleyball, and relax to the music of the band Totes McGotes. A manned grill will be on site to provide the traditional Father’s Day cookout. Bring cash or a credit/debit card to purchase food!

 

Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Cost: Adults $15, Children (16 and under) $5, Families (3-8 people) $35, optional t-shirts $15.  Helmets are required for all riders on the island.
