I think we've all gone a bit sciencey at least one night in our drinking career where we try to mix things together to create a MUST HAVE concoction that everyone will be screaming for!  Bill Nye the Drunk Guy?

The one we made more than once was The Jorge Slammer:

  • 1 part beer
  • 1 part Southern Comfort
  • 1 part Orange Juice
  • 1 part Mountain Dew

As you may have guessed from the ingredient list...yes, this drink was created by a high schooler. And no...I don't suggest you smell it let alone drink it.  In "pitcher form" it was particularly nasty because the pulp from the OJ would look like chunks of bad-decision.

However there have been great inventions while drinking!

Since pickles are a delicious addition to the party.  As an appetizer, or as a garnish in a Bloody Mary.  Just this last weekend, I watched a lady order a shot of Tequila and a shot of pickle juice. And I'll be she would enjoy this new drink...

Some bar owners in Denver Colorado are releasing the Dirty Dill into the world. According to DirtyDill.com:

Dirty Dill was formed by three friends that like most people, enjoy a great time and hanging out with their friends! During one of those nights(and a few drinks), they realized they couldn't find a ready to drink pickle shot and decided to put their brains together. As a result, Dirty Dill was formed to bring consumers the superior Pickle Shot!

If you're wondering how it's made...apparently after brewing their "natural brine" for two hours, they let it sit for two weeks before adding vodka and filtering the product to its optimal quality.
