Anonymous Davenport Resident Just Won $25,000 a Year for LIFE
What would you do with $25,000 a year for life?
An extra approximately $2,000 a month is not going to let you retire early but if you use it right, it could significantly improve your life.
You won't be able to quit your job...but going part-time is a distinct possibility. Might I suggest:
- Putting Every Penny Towards Paying Off Debt
- Saving for a rainy day
- Building Up a Retirement Fund
- Buying a Nice Camper and a Big Truck to pull it
Or maybe that's just how I would do it.
Would You Celebrate Publicly?
You wouldn't have the pomp & circumstance of a lottery win. However, you also wouldn't have family members crawling out of the woodwork to find you and ask for a "loan."
California entirely forbids lottery winners to remain anonymous. Apparently, Iowa is not that kind. In fact...
Someone In Davenport Won!
According to the Iowa Lottery, "someone who bought a lottery ticket at a Davenport convenience store won a prize of $25,000 a year for life Monday in the Lucky for Life game."
But we don't know who they are. What we do know is, the ticket was purchased at Kwik Star, 1225 E. Kimberly Road in Davenport. So, no doubt, people will be unnecessarily swarming that store for a potential win.
It is Iowa’s 14th big winner in the game since it debuted in January 2016. In fact, just this June 22, someone from Cedar Rapids claimed a prize of $25,000 a year for life. They found out they won last November but waited and put a plan in place for their winnings before claiming it.
No One Knows Who It Is
Although there may be hints. If your next-door neighbor who can't get his car off the lawn is suddenly leasing an Aston Martin, you can bet he's the latest winner in the $25,000 a Year for Life.
