America’s Favorite Dog Might Be Right Here In Iowa
One dog and one cat are will be awarded the title of America's Favorite Pet. And the outcome is in your hands.
One of the pets that is in the running for the crown is from right here in the Quad Cities.
America's Favorite Pet Contest
The folks at Catster and Dogster magazine put on the contest to give one cat and one dog their time to shine in the magazine. Last year, Willow, a 4 ½-year-old rough-coated Collie, and Tom, a 12-year-old female tabby, were able to secure the crown.
Lending A Paw
The contest benefits "PAWS (Progressive Animal Welfare Society)" The mission of PAWS is to help cats, dogs, and wild animals thrive in happy, healthy homes or in their natural habitats. PAWS has unified more than 130,000 cats and dogs with loving families while also helping more than 140,000 sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals.
Meet Rosie
She is a boxer/English bulldog. 6 months old. Karen says that Rosie is "The most loveable, snuggle bug anyone could ask for. She is my salon puppy!"
Rosie's favorite toy is her lamb chop! It is definitely her nap-time snuggle buddy!
Rosies' go-to treat is one many dogs like. She loves to chew on pig ears!
Why should Rosie be America's favorite pet? Other than being a rocking dog from the Quad Cities, Karne says "Rosie has been my hero! I have anxiety and she has helped me more than I could ever imagine! She is my calm!"
You can vote for Rosie every day right here and keep her moving on in the competition.
But wait there's more! After initially posting these pictures and info for Rosie, Brian reached out and shared that his dog Molly is in a different group and also in the running.
Which means you can vote each day for two Quad Cities pups and get them both moving on in the competition.
Brian says Molly's favorite toy is any toy. Especially the one her big brother is playing with.
Molly's favorite treats are from Three Dog Bakery but he says any treat will do!
Why should you vote for Molly...outside of the fact she is from the Quad Cities? Brian says "Molly is so unique and has the greatest personality. She’s a sweet cuddle bug one minute and then an absolute goofball the next. She randomly gets the zoomies inside and outside jumping over anything that gets in her way (including her brothers). Molly is ornery, a typical trait for Pugs, but definitely a lover. She loves to give kisses and just be near or on you."
So like Rosie, you can also vote right here for Molly to keep her in first place!
