Why do you love hard rock?

I love the energy, power, and meaning behind what Hard Rock/Metal is all about. Powerful screams, a melodic chorus, heavy guitars, steady bass, and pounding drums are nirvana to my ears. My favorite songs of all time have a blend of all those elements that ignite and fuel my addiction!

Who is your favorite band/artist?

Deftones with TOOL a very close second. What’s interesting is that I didn’t really get into Deftones until about 2010 and I’ve been into them ever since. What I love most about the band is their blend of grooves, rhythm, and flawless melodies all combined together with genuine emotion to create an incredible listening experience. It always amazes me how they can stretch those boundaries and go back and forth between a hard-hitting track or a more toned-down melodic ballad. Their versatility and unpredictability feeds my attraction to their music.

What is the best concert you've ever seen?

Stone Sour, In This Moment, and Halestorm down in Omaha at Sokol Auditorium back in 2014. This show will go down as one I will never forget. I was able to get my hands on some VIP passes a few days before the concert and after the show, we had the pleasure of meeting In This Moment and Stone Sour while they had beers with everyone backstage. Meeting Maria and Corey Taylor in person was insane!! Corey was super cool and Maria is an absolute smoke show HAHA. To this day the picture I have of me with Maria and the band is one of my all-time favorites.
