Fall Comes Early: Starbucks Unveils PSLs in Iowa Ahead of Schedule

It's still summer. In fact, as I write this, there are more than 60 calendar days left in the summer of 2024. But, to the surprise of literally no human being, we're moving on. Seems most people after the 4th of July write summer off so, why not call late August fall?

Starbucks is doing just that. In what seems like its earliest release date for pumpkin spice season ever, we now know when PSLs and the fall-themed menu will appear in Iowa.

Your Pumpkin Spiced Fall is Ahead of Schedule This Year

In case you forgot, I know I did, Starbucks dropped its festive fall fare on August 24. That was a Thursday. In 2024, the line will be released on a Thursday again, but earlier by two days.

Your pumpkin-spiced life will be ready to roll on Thursday, August 22. All Iowa Starbucks will again be slinging autumn flavors, earlier than ever.

As confirmed by the company, you'll soon be able to enjoy PSLs, Pumpkin Cream Cold Brews, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chais, and something new called the Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai. Sounds tasty and on-brand for cooler temps.

Look, I'm not a hater. I love fall. Especially in Iowa. The cooler temps, bonfires, changing leaves, and fooooootball! What's not to like? Plus, our August has been kind of cool so, it's fitting fall starts a little earlier for our tastebuds, too.

If PSLs and Iced Apple Crisp Oatmilk Shaken Espressos aren't your bag, good news, there will be plenty of other, seemingly wacky pumpkin-spiced products to enjoy.
