Unfortunately, crazy things happen in the world all the time. If you don't see it, then you're cruising through life with your eyes closed. When I hear about an incident like this one, I immediately think of Chicago, but in this case, it wasn't.

I was surprised to hear about this kind of problem happening in the small Illinois town of Jacksonville, which is located in central Illinois. This is the kind of stuff that happens in bigger Illinois cities daily. I try to put myself in the situation as a witness, but it's hard to wrap my brain around this one.

A homeless woman in Jacksonville must be going through a difficult time because I don't believe she would normally do something like this. It started with her walking around topless, which is against the law.

Then the suspect somehow got hold of a golf club. She proceeded to hit a teenager with the club. Then she smashed not one, but two vehicles with that same golf club. The local police arrested her, and now she could do some serious jail time.

According to News Channel 20...

Petrie was initially issued a City Ordinance Citation for indecent exposure after being observed walking without a shirt in public, exposing her breasts within city limits.

 

Later that evening, Petrie was arrested for aggravated battery after she allegedly struck a 17-year-old juvenile with a golf club, causing minor injuries, near the Ashley Home Store on West Morton Avenue.

 

She is accused of using the golf club to damage vehicles owned by Doug Thompson, 48, and Judy K. Bowman, 72, at the same location.
