Sometimes taking a vacation can be difficult maybe you don't have the time or the budget. Flying can be very costly and a pain. Driving is cheaper but takes much longer to get to your destination. Something in between would be nice.

There's now an alternative to traveling from Illinois to Florida. Amtrak is starting up a new train route. It's only temporary while some work is being done on tracks and tunnels but it would be worth checking out. It's cheaper than flying and easier than driving.

I've always wanted to check out a train trip adventure. I bet it could be a lot of fun. The longest rail trip I've ever taken is from the suburbs to Chicago. I enjoyed that little trip. My parents took the train from Chicago to New Orleans and just loved it.

There are a couple of options when it comes to traveling by train. You can just get a seat. They are newly designed seats so you get more room. You can upgrade to a roomette which is private seating. There are also bedrooms available.

There is food available on the train during the long trip if you get hungry. It just seems like a fun way to see the country and a great experience for you and your family. You can at least check it out.
