The Chicago Electric Boat Company has introduced one of the city's most unexpected—and unforgettable—adventures: cruising down the Chicago River in a hot tub boat. Yes, it’s exactly what it sounds like, and yes, it’s as amazing as you’re imagining.

Starting November 13, this unique experience is open to anyone 13 and up who’s ready to hop into a floating, heated oasis and see Chicago from a whole new angle.

Each boat, launching from Marina City docks (at 300 North State Street), fits up to six people, so round up your besties and settle in for a 90-minute, self-captained soak. With a steering lever that keeps things as easy as the pace—maxing out at a chill one mile per hour—you’re free to enjoy the river’s iconic sights while you leisurely drift.

According to NBC Chicago, the vessels "are also equipped with Bluetooth speakers, while featuring UV lights and a saltwater cleansing process to keep the boats sanitary in between uses." Throwing a nice little fiesta on the boat seems like the perfect winter activity, if you ask us.

Just a heads-up: food is a no-go onboard, but you can still pack the cooler with your favorite drinks. And as for the cost? Expect to pay between $350 and $425, depending on your booking day.
