Ah, the excitement of waking up on Easter morning! The anticipation of searching for hidden eggs and baskets filled with candy and toys. It's a feeling we'll always cherish, and one that we hope to pass on to our own children.

But for how long do we allow this carrot-breathed heathen to enter our homes unchecked?

Seriously.  What's the right age?  Like, is 11 ok?

The History of the Easter Bunny

Believe it or not, the Easter Bunny's origins date back to 16th-century Germany. Back then, it was a symbol of new life and fertility. German immigrants later brought the tradition to the United States in the 1700s, and it's been a beloved part of Easter celebrations ever since.

Actually, another story I heard says it goes back to ancient pagan rituals celebrating the arrival of spring.

Then again..someone mentioned that it has something to do with the German goddess Eostre, who was often depicted with a hare.

But regardless of its origins, the Easter Bunny has become a beloved symbol of the holiday.
