BE PREPARED: Frankie MacDonald Warns Of Severe Iowa Storms Wednesday
If there's one thing we know, it's that if Frankie MacDonald is telling you to be prepared, you better be prepared. In the years we've been following him, the kid's never gotten a single prediction wrong and even has predicted something as unpredictable as a volcano.
Frankie just uploaded his latest forecast for severe thunderstorms for Iowa on July 31st, 2024.
He's predicting severe thunderstorms with a derecho, which will bring "a lot of rain, chain lightning, and very loud thunder."
We can also expect some powerful wind "that can bring down power lines and snap tree branches in half and the sewers will back up on the streets."
He calls out a few towns in particular:
- Fort Dodge, Iowa
- Webster City, Iowa
- Cedar Rapids, Iowa
- Des Moines, Iowa
We're used to his list of weather precautions for severe winter weather, but not severe summer weather.
People in Iowa BE PREPARED!
Have your Rubber Boots, Rain Coats, and Rain Suits ready. Unplug your Computers, Stereos, Televisions, and Gaming Consoles so you Don't Get the Power Surge. Have your Cell Phones, Smartphones, and laptops charged and stay away from underneath the trees and don't go near the Golf Courses so you don't get struck by lightning.
