It's fall and cider donuts have returned with their warm, melt-in-your-mouth fall flavor.

But where can you get them in the QC? We told you about some of the best places to go apple picking near the QC and for some of your favorite cider donut stops, you may have to take a short trip out of the QC too.

We love cider donuts, especially now after Labor Day weekend. They're the best seasonal snack as we enjoy our pumpkin patches and haunted houses. We asked you where the best place to get them would be and you picked our top 10 cider donut spots. The winner took the prize by a landslide. One recommendation was the bakery at Hy-Vee. This would probably be a good idea if your random craving for cider donuts hits now and it's the closest option.

9. KeDough Bakery & Pastries- Muscatine

As you can probably guess by the name KeDough specializes in keto-friendly desserts and pastries. Their menu changes daily and they have gluten-friendly options too. Check their Facebook for updates.

8. Donut Delite- Moline

One place recommended is Donut Delite in Moline. They're at 3606 Avenue of the Cities and are open Monday-Friday from 5:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. and on weekends from 5:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. You can see some more of their creations on their Facebook page.

What you guys actually suggested was Gravert's Orchard in Sabula. But according to their website, they get their cider donuts from Sweetheart Bakery in Clinton. Sweetheart Bakery is at 245 Main Ave. Gravert's is on our list of closest places you can go apple picking.

6. The Belted Cow Orchard- Rozetta

About an hour outside of the QC is The Belted Cow Orchard in Rozetta. They're open for your apple cider donut needs Wednesdays-Saturdays 7:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Several of you like the idea of cider donuts from Trader Joe's in Coralville. It's an hour's drive and for the record, I so wish the QC would get a Trader Joe's.

4. Sayler's General Store- Princeton

Sayler's General Store in Princeton, Illinois came recommended. Like several on this list, it's an hour drive outside of the QC.

3. Selmi's- Rock Falls

Selmi's Greenhouse, Farm & Pumpkin Patch was also mentioned several times when we asked you about the best spots for cider donuts. Selmi's is an hour drive from the QC. They're open every day 8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.

2. Wilson's Orchard & Farm- Iowa City

Wilson's Orchard & Farm was another spot on our list of nearby places Quad Citians can go apple picking. They're about an hour outside of the QC in Iowa City and are open Wednesday-Sunday 9:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m.

1. Tanner's Orchard- Speer

The overwhelming winner on the best local cider donuts, garnering about half of the total number of votes, is Tanners Orchard in Speer, IL. They're open every day 8:00 a.m.-8:00 p.m. and they're the longest distance on this list, but still only an hour and a half away from the QC.
