A new Japanese restaurant will open its doors this weekend in the Quad Cities.

The restaurant is called Yoso Modern Japanese and you'll find it very near the Davenport/Bettendorf border at the river, specifically at 1591 Grant St., Suite 101 in Bettendorf. It is both a Japanese steakhouse and a sushi bar.

They will have their soft opening this weekend but a date hasn't been announced yet for a grand opening. The restaurant will have an array of sushi rolls, sashimi and nigiri, tempura, soup and salads, and a selection from the robata grill, as well as different kinds of beverages. Their menu also has multiple stylings of Maki Rolls, which are the restaurant's signature dishes.

Their website says:

We have scoured the globe high and low looking for the best sushi to bring to the Quad Cities. We found a technique and style that is best explained as the “evolution of sushi”. We studied and perfected the art and brought a master sushi chef to the QC to deliver you the BEST sushi around.

If you're on the job hunt, Yoso Modern Japanese is also hiring sushi chefs, line cooks, prep cooks, dishwashers, hosts, servers, and bartenders as they gear up to open. You can get more details about how to apply for those positions here.

As for their hours, they will be open Tuesdays-Sundays from 11:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m., and closed on Mondays. You can reach them at (563) 551-6507 and keep up with the latest updates from Yoso Modern Japanese on their Facebook page here.
