A mystery has crashed it's way into Bettendorf.

Sometimes you see weird and random things when you're out and about that make you think to yourself "why is that even there?". One such thing has popped up in Bettendorf.

Since early Monday morning, a nice (or at least formerly nice) yellow car has been smushed into a pole in a business area off of 53rd Street, on Lakeview Parkway. I've seen it on my way to the gym every day since Monday, unmoved and unattended to. Just chilling.

You can see the front bumper is hanging off. I would think that a driver's first instinct if they found themselves in this situation would be to call a tow truck and help but that doesn't appear to be what happened.

I'm not sure how much you can tell in the pictures, but that grassy bank is actually on an incline from the parking lot. The driver must have been really driving fast in the parking lot to go up the ramp.

So far, no one I've talked to knows anything about who owns the car or why it's still there. But here's the Illinois license plate in case you know who owns it.

The rest of the car looks fine except for the smushed front bumper. This is in a business area and it's been literally in the same spot since early Monday morning. Does anyone know what's up with it? If you do know something, reach out to the owner or Bettendorf Police.
