Ready to celebrate Halloween? In a month, a spooky celebration will be happening in downtown Davenport.

The Spooktacular 5k and Fall Festival will be on October 8th at Quinlan Court in Davenport. The 5k run/walk will be at 10:00 a.m. and costumes are encouraged! So really, you can give your Halloween costume a test run here before October 31st rolls around.

The festival will open at 9:00 a.m. There will be live music from The Knockoffs, food from What BBQ and Bar, SMS Soul Food, and Moodies, treats (Michelle's Sweet Treats LLC, Lagomarcino's, and more), drinks (Front Street Brewery, Iron + Grain), children's activities, a ride-in, and even a craft & vendor fair with nearly 30 vendors for you to peruse. So even though there's a 5k part of it, you don't have to be athletic to go check this out.

Admission to the festival is free but registration for the 5k race is $30, which includes a teeshirt if you register by 9/25. The festival will close down on October 8th at 2:00 p.m.

There will be prizes awarded for best costume so if you want to scheme something clever, now is the time to do that. There will also be prizes for top runners and the largest team in the 5k's Team Challenge.

The event is put on by Empower House, which helps QC adults who have survived a brain injury. To keep up with the latest details on the Spooktacular 5k & Fall Festival, check out their Facebook event here.

The Best Places To Watch Iowa Football Games

We have gathered 15 places around the Quad Cities where people LOVE to watch Iowa Football games. Many bars with owners that are Hawkeye fans have specials on game days. Cheaper beer, special dishes, and even free shots when Iowa scores a touchdown.

We asked listeners where their favorite place to watch Iowa football was, and here is what they suggested.
