Earlier this year we found out that Azteca 3 Mexican Restaurant is for sale and will close once the owners find a buyer. Now, another Azteca location is on the market and closing next year.

Back in April, we found out that the owners of Azteca 3 made the decision to put up their business at 2400 Spruce Hills Drive in Bettendorf for sale. Sisters and co-owners Zulma and Sonia Villalpando say the reason for wanting to close the restaurant is due to the rising cost of everything. The thing is, they aren't sad about wanting to close it down.

The social media post announcing the building being up for sale says, "We're not sad we are selling our building, we are relieved. So don't feel bad. It's just our time to go. Come have Margaritas with us to enjoy our last couple of months together through the summer."

On June 17th, we found out that Azteca 3 is under new management and appears to be doing well. The building is still listed for sale with Hawkeye Commercial Real Estate.

Recently, we found out that another Azteca location is up for sale and will be closing within one year.

Azteca 1 To Close Within A Year

A social media post on the Azteca 1 Mexican Restaurant page announced the Villalpando family is closing the location at 4811 N. Brady St.

The owners announced they are selling the business and have everything one would need to buy the restaurant.

The Villalpando Family says their lease ends in about 11 months and need to start the selling process. The business is listed for $250,000 and comes as if.

Those interested can contact the family at (563) 639-0864 for more info, for a tour, or for anything else concerning the buying/selling of Azteca 1.

Hopefully, they don't close Azteca 4 down the road at 3566 N Brady St.
