‘Neuter Your Ex’ With Animal Rescue League Of Iowa
Snip snip.
It's okay to admit it: all of us have dated someone at some point who should not reproduce. And just in time for Valentine's Day, there's a way to make sure that (kind of) doesn't happen.
Animal Rescue League of Iowa's 'Neuter Your Ex' is available through February 14th. What happens, you may ask?
For a $15 donation, they will name a feral cat after your ex, then spay or neuter them, and release them through their TNR program (trap, neuter, return).
It's satisfying pettiness (that also helps out a good cause) and helps control the community cat population. That's exactly what the TNR program's goal is. It "works to end reproduction in community cat colonies, stabilizing populations, and improving cats' lives".
If you want to 'neuter' a single ex, it's $15. 5 names is $50 and 10 names is $100. You can donate to 'Neuter Your Ex' at this link.
If that's too petty for you (in which case, loosen up a bit), you can sponsor a pet for a day for the same price.
The donation for 'Neuter Your Ex' helps provide funding for Animal Rescue League of Iowa's TNR program.
As always, remember that it's a good idea to adopt a pet at your local shelter instead of spending a lot of money on a purebred. One of my best ever dogs was $20 from our local shelter. Winter can be a lonely time of the year (Valentine's especially) so consider bringing a furball into your life.
